ARTIST STATEMENT
I am a nature photographer who is curious and open to different methods and techniques of expression. Observing nature in wild environments and animals in their natural habitat, I try to materialize the expressionist force of the moment, through continuous research and the techniques that I prefer, which offer me the stimulus to reinterpret what surrounds me. I realize the vision that I have in my head and that arises spontaneously when I find myself in extreme places, where the drama of the image is enhanced by certain light situations. An artist can and must distort consciences to help see things differently: he must strike to denounce always and only through beauty. When you have come out of yourself you will never be the same again, distorting and overturning my vision of reality, but also and above all, that of the viewer represents the purpose of my creations. “Beauty, preservation and denunciation” are the principles that inspire me.
Sono una fotografa naturalista, curiosa, aperta a diverse modalità e tecniche espressive. Osservando la natura in ambienti selvaggi e gli animali nel loro habitat naturale cerco di concretizzare la forza espressionista del momento, attraverso la continua ricerca e le tecniche che prediligo che mi offrono lo stimolo per reinterpretare ciò che mi circonda. Realizzo la visione che ho nella testa e che mi sorge spontanea quando mi trovo in luoghi estremi, in cui la drammaticità dell’immagine è esaltata da determinate situazioni di luce. Un artista può e deve stravolgere le coscienze per aiutare a vedere le cose in modo diverso: deve colpire per denunciare sempre e solo attraverso la bellezza. Quando sei uscito da te stesso non sarai mai più quello di prima, stravolgere e capovolgere la mia visione della realtà, ma anche e soprattutto, quella dello spettatore rappresenta lo scopo delle mie creazioni. “Bellezza preservazione e denuncia” sono i principi cui mi ispiro.
BIOGRAPHY
Loredana De Sole is a nature photographer. She has found her own artistic expression through creative movement. She has managed to channel her attention to her inner self, distorting reality by adding physical movement to her images with the declared aim of moving us emotionally. Over the years, she has attended countless courses to explore the world of photographic techniques, seeking her own personal vision. Her perception draws on the apparently surreal atmospheres of Murakami’s literature and Radiohead’s music, which are in fact nothing more (and nothing less) than objective representations of the deepest fears of the human soul. She has become increasingly interested in nature due to the ecological crises of recent years and the evolution of her own inner need to denounce the damage done. She and her inseparable cameras in her travels, resulting in photographs which capture places and encounters with indigenous people, giving rise to reportage projects. In 2022 she won third place at M.I.F.A. category nature/flowers . In 2023 she got a mention at the Fine Art Photography Awards. Some of her artworks are available on the web sites of Zatista, Balthasart and Fiidaa Art Gallery, others preserved in private collections in Italy.
Loredana De Sole è una fotografa naturalistica. Con il mosso creativo ha trovato la propria, espressione artistica. E’ riuscita in questo modo a canalizzare la propria attenzione sulla sua interiorità, stravolgendo la realtà inserendo il movimento alle sue immagini con il dichiarato scopo di emozionare. Negli anni ha frequentato innumerevoli corsi per approfondire il mondo delle tecniche fotografiche, cercando una propria visione personale. La sua percezione attinge alle atmosfere apparentemente surreali della letteratura di Murakami e della musica dei Radiohead che, infatti, altro non sono che rappresentazioni oggettive delle paure più profonde dell’animo umano. Da sempre interessata alla natura, negli ultimi anni, vista l’urgenza ecologica, ha approfondito l’aspetto di critica e denuncia allo scopo di propagare un messaggio imprescindibile al giorno d’oggi. Nei suoi viaggi in oriente, al seguito dei fotografi come organizzatrice-interprete, con le sue inseparabili macchine fotografiche, ha scattato immagini che riproducono luoghi insoliti ed interagito con le persone autoctone creando progetti di reportage. Nel 2022 si è classificata al terzo posto al M.I.F.A. nella categoria natura/fiori. Nel 2023 ha ottenuto una menzione al Fine Art Photography Awards. Alcune sue opere sono disponibili sui siti di Zatista, Balthasart e Fiidaa Art, altre conservate in collezioni private in Italia.
